This photo shows a commercial tilapia hatchery in Aswan. This hatchery belongs to Lake Nasser Development Authority. Untill the present, the fingerlings of Nile tilapia, (Oreochromis niloticus) produced in the hatchery are used for a stock enhancement program for Lake Nasser. The picture shows the outdoor facilities of the hatchery which has also indoor facilities.
