Determining the spawning\u00a0readiness of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) female is assessed based on the softness\u00a0of female abdomen as shown\u00a0one photo. Female ovulation could be judged based on the release of few eggs under slight pressure. Females are watched for ovulation and should be stripped and eggs fertilized.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
