This lecture was delivered during November, 2014 in Fish Culture Development training course. This course is annually organized by the \u201cEgyptian International Centre for Agriculture \u2013 EICA\u201d. \u00a0This lecture focuses on small-scale aquaculture in rural development. The handling highlights the \u00a0features of rural societies especially in regard to aquaculture and criteria of appropriate fish species and systems. The models of small-scale fish farms include rice-fish farm, integrated farms and cages. The promotion of aquaculture projects required to provide examples of criteria of small-scale systems. It was necessary to address rate of adoption and simplicity concept. \u00a0the access for credit, The subsidy issue has been covered in more details. The lecture has been supported by photos for various practices as well as case studies.<\/p>\n
