In fact these are only two samples of fourteen cages, belonging to a community group in the Asuogyaman District of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>It was constructed for them for a pilot aquaculture project by an NGO. The size of the cage is 2.2m\u00d72.2m\u00d72m, and occupies a volume of 136m<sup>3<\/sup> on the Lake Volta.<\/p>\n<p>Although it was an NGO pilot project for this community, the cage frames were not very strong; floats were made of about 4inches PVC pipe; which made them weak on the lake.
