Fish species cultured in this particular farm includes carps, pacu (<em>Piaractus mesopotamicus<\/em>) and catfish.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Aquaculture Directorate (2001), the Misiones province has been classified among the temperate warm and sub-tropical basin that is characterized by prolonged growing season.
