For production efficiency, the species\nhas been recommended for culture in polyculture with other finfishes and\nprawns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nspecies has been a part of surveys carried out to assess its abundance, seasonal\noccurrence and distribution of finfish seed resources. For example, Adyar\nEstuary was found to be a good ground for finfish seed collection including\ngrey mullet.
