This species of dolphin is among the world\u2019s most endangered dolphins and has been listed as \u2018Endangered\u2019 by the World Conservation Union. It is one of the world&#8217;s rarest mammals. The severely declining populations are threatened by declining freshwater supplies, pollution, capture in fishing nets and hunting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In regard to conserving the Indus river dolphins, Joint rescue teams from WWF-Pakistan and the Sindh Wildlife Department regularly carry out these rescuing operations.
