\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis project document has been developed by a group of\ntrainees who participated during 2019 in the \u201cFish Culture Development \u2013 Africa\ntraining course\u201d which is annually hosted by the Egyptian International Centre\nfor Agriculture (EICA) in partnership with Japan International Cooperation\nAgency (JICA). The proposed location of this project is Lake Malawi. The\nproject document started with background information highlighting the\nimportance of fish in Malawi for nutrition as well as for employment and income\ngeneration. The native tilapia, Oreochromis shiranus<\/em> has been chosen for\nthe project. The budget, investment, and revenue of the project have been\ncovered in the document. The technical components of the project components\n(hatchery and farm) have been addressed supported with the necessary figures\nand tables. The project economics have been adequately analyzed. All activities\nof the project have been arranged in an activity chart. The environmental,\nsocial and economic sustainability of the project have been addressed. Finally,\nthere have been specific recommendations regarding the interest rates as well\nas taxation regarding aquaculture projects. This project is one of more group\nprojects which have been supervised by Dr. Abdel Rahman El Gamal.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
