In order to preserve extra fish from spoilage, smoking and sun-drying are the methods practiced whereas fishermen used to smoke fish in the fishing spot. Generally, such methods of preservation apply to high value and big fishes such as Bagarius yarrelli, Tor putitora, Neolissocheilus hexagonolepis, Chagunius chagunio. It worth mentioning the dried fish represents about 25% of fish catch. Also, higher prices are given to dried fish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> We decided not to watermark the photos in order not to upset its clarity.
