This photo shows the liming of a fish pond in Bangladesh.\u00a0After the de weeding and repairing the dikes and bottom of the\u00a0pond, liming is considered the next important work for pond preparation. Farmers usually use calcium carbonate (CaCo3<\/sub> as solid limestone. Before its use, limestone needs to be sink in an earthen, cemented or metallic tank for dilution. The application dose is normally 250 kilogram\/ha.<\/p>\n
