The breeding of ornamental fish is considered the oldest aquaculture activity in Uruguay. This activity, despite being undervalued by big businessmen, it takes place in a national market in which they move about 500,000 fish per year, most of which are bred in Uruguay by artisanal farmers. This number is considered significant especially when knowing that the population of Uruguay is only around 3 million of inhabitants. The farm as shown in the photos includes various types of facilities including ponds, tanks and greenhouse. This given project is dedicated mainly to the extensive breeding of goldfish, (Carassius auratus auratus)<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
