The specific objective of the hatchery is to produce about 1.5 million of red tilapia fry of 0.5-g average size and 365 thousand of juveniles of 50-60 g average size. All technical items of the operations have been described as well as the economic analysis. This project has been developed by a team of trainees who participated during 2010 in the annual Fish Culture Development training course which is annually hosted by the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture.
