This project proposal addresses the small-scale fish farming in Senegal. The propsed location of the project is Tambacounda province. Farming and marketing of Nile tilapia and African catfish is the main objective of this proposed project. The rationality of this project in this specific location is based on the geographic distance from landing sites as well as the non availability of other protein sources at affordable prices. This propsed project addresses promotion strategy to introduce aquaculture activity in the target region. The project also includes the technical and budgetary components. This proposed project has been prepared by a team of trainees who participated during 2007 in the Fish Culture Development training course which is annually hosted by the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture (EICA). The proposed project has been developed under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Rahman El Gamal.<\/span><\/p>\n
