The present growth rate of \u00a0milkfish, Chanos chanos<\/em> is expected to be maintained. This is due to increasing use of sea cages and sea pens for its culture.\u00a0 The growing popularity of value added products of milkfish like de-boned and smoked forms and their export potentials will help maintain the current growth pattern. \u00a0Moreover, the emergence of large commercial milkfish hatcheries is a positive development which can give milkfish industry the extra needed push.<\/span><\/p>\n
