The crib could be built with bamboo or wooden poles. It is recommended that\u00a0for a 1000-m<sup>2<\/sup> pond the radius of the crib should be about 1 m. The compost material is put inside the crib up to the water line and should be packed down well. In order to facilitate\u00a0adequate aeration and hence aerobic conditions, the compost pile should be \u2018turned over\u2019 periodically. Also, in order to keep the desired plankton bloom in fish ponds, fresh batches of compost are added periodically.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0We decided not to watermark the photos in order not to upset its clarity.
