The photo shows the packing and marketing of Tanganyika sardine,\u00a0Limnothrissa miodon<\/em>\u00a0fished from Lake Kivu.\u00a0The low level of fish processing and products development could be attributed to the artisanal nature of the fisheries of the lake. This species was introduced from\u00a0Lake Tanganyika\u00a0to Lake Kivu in 1959. L. miodon<\/em> is the major catch of the lake.<\/span><\/p>\n
