The photos show the harvest of green tiger shrimp, <\/span>Penaeus semisulcatus<\/i> in a shrimp farm of earthen ponds in Egypt. The harvesting as shown in the photos is carried out during night as shown in the electric lamps which are placed in a proper position to attract shrimp which are dragged by water current towards the light and enter a netting structure where they are scooped and processed. The photos also show the sorting of harvested shrimp into size grades based on the pricing system of different grades of shrimp. When complete draining is the harvesting method of burrowing shrimps such as green tiger shrimp, the steadily flow of water upon draining should be maintained because if the water flow is repeatedly interrupted, the shrimp may tend to resettle in the mud and may be missed in the harvest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
