Photo A shows the sexing and acquisition of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) broodstock from Lake Victoria at Homabay District to be used for seed production in a private tilapia hatchery. Photo B shows Nile tilapia fry produced at a Governmental hatchery in Kisii Central District, Kenya. Tilapia fingerlings produced in Kenyan hatcheries are mixed sex as no sex reversal practice is being undertaken yet.
