Intensive monoculture of Striped catfish, (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam

This project proposal has been developed by a working group who participated in Fish Culture Development training course in 2011 under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Rahman El Gamal. The main focus of this project proposal is to enhance the productivity of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) in Vietnam. The document highlighted the importance of the species in Vietnamese aquaculture especially in regard to fish export as well as in job creations and in enhancing the standards of living of poor communities in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. The proposal has also addressed the technical and financial aspects of the project ending by a simple calculation of project profit. The project document is supported by illustrations.
