Integral family-based production pilot center in Panama (in Spanish)

This project proposal has been developed in 2007 by a team of trainees who participated in the Integrated Rural Development training course which is annually hosted by the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture (EICA). The project objectives focus on enhancing food security and livelihood in rural families through improving their productive capacity and the adoption of integration concept which includes rice paddy, vegetables, grains, cassava, hens and aquaculture. Project activities, components and proposed support to partner hamilies have been described in the project proposal. The team of developers decided to locate the project in district of Santa Fe, province of Veraguas, Panama. Dr. Abdel Rahman El Gamal supervised the development of the project proposal.
