Most of the cage aquaculture in Ghana is practiced in Lake Volta in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern region. As cage aquaculture continues to boom in this district, more and more people get employment in diverse fields. The insert shows the sowing of cage nets which is done by a fisher folk who had gained employment in this cage farming activity. According to the fisher folk -through the extension officer who was in an extension visit, this net sowing job has improved his livelihood since he can now get at least enough to cater for his family from this job.
