As the shortage in fish supply in Gaza strip is obvious, efforts have been spent to promote aquaculture in Gaza. The scarcity of water has been highly considered in the choice of aquaculture system to promote. The national authorities in partnership with international programs are supporting the current aquaculture project that is supported by Belgium and implemented by FAO. The project provides the capacity building for teams working in the project and provides also the whole cost of infrastructure (fish pools) and production inputs such as feed and fry. The photo shows the training provided to beneficiaries as well as the distribution of feed to aquaculture tanks.
