The attached file shows the construction and management of the project components. This slide show reflects the operation of the first year of the project whereas more species of fish and plant crops have been screened for testing the compatibility, performance and economics of integrated organisms. In regard to fish, the tested species included Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), African catfish (Clarias gariepinus), mullet (Mugil sp.), freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), and freshwater mussels. Plant crops included cucumber, tomatoes, eggplants, green pepper, and hot pepper. Based on the outcomes of the screening, focusing on the optimum match and compatibility between aquatic and agricultural crops would be adopted. The infrastructures whether green houses and tanks are shown in the slide show.
