This is a model of a small-scale tilapia hatchery which could exist in fish farming communities of small to medium size. This type hatchery targets to fulfill given farms requirements of the fry of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus with a possibility to sell extras to others. An estimated production capacity of such model hatchery can go up to a 2-million tilapia fry/year depending on available nursing facilities.
