Salted tuna in the Sultanate of Oman

In periods and/or seasons when the tuna fishery is abundant, the price of fresh tuna declines and hence fishermen process their tuna through salting their catch. The salted tuna in the shown barrels is marketed in prices which could range from US$30-40/barrel.
