توضح أحدى الصور مجموعة من الصيادين فى موسم البرية (الأنشوجه) والتى يتم اصطيادها فى البحر ومن ثم يتم جرها للقرب من الشاطئ باستخدام الشباك الخيشومية المخصصة لها حيث يتم جمعها من الشباك بالسلال حيث يتم فرشها على الأرض وتعريضها للشمس حتى تجف وتباع كأسماك مجففة حيث يباع الكيس الواحد وزن 4 كيلوجرام بما يتراوح بين 10 – 20 دولار أمريكى. وتعتبر عملية تجفيف الأنشوجة كما توضحها أحدى صور المجموعة من الأنشطة الأسرية وقد تجتمع عدد من الأسر فى عملية واحدة. كما توضحه صورة الشاحنة فإنه عادة ما يتم تصدير الأنشوجة المجففة إلى دولة الأمارات العربية المتحدة وذلك فى موسم الأنشوجة خلال الفترة من مارس إلى يوليو حيث يتم استخدامها للاستهلاك الآدمى أو كأسمدة أو للاستخدام الحيوانى

The photo shows a fisherman with his boat and net. He is carrying traditional types of basket which is used for keeping the captured fish in. Common species captured are Nakata (Garra gotyla), Buduna (Garra annandalei), Kabre (Glyptothoraz sp.), Faketa (Barilius sp.), and Chepwa (Aspidosporar morar). Fish catch ranges from 0.5 to 2 kg depending on time spend on fishing. About 25% of the catch is for family consumption while the remaining (if any) is sold within the local community. Local name of this boat is Dunga.

This photo shows an intensive farm for whiteleg shrimp (Liptopenaeus vannamei). The farm is located in Khanh Hoa Province (Vietnam). The significat aeration system indicates the level of farming intensification. Moreover, tanks seen on pond dike include a proper disinfectant which is prepared for disinfecting farming gears and equipment used on the farm.

Electrofishing is a fishing technique that is primarily used in freshwater to collect broodstock from lakes and reservoirs where other sampling or harvesting techniques cannot be used. The photos show electrofishing boats which represent a common means of this practice. Electrofishing is designed to operate on fish nervous system and hence leads to temporarily stunning of affected fish and so they can be easily netted as shown in the second photo.
Electrofishing techniques use “Direct Power” (DC) which is considered less hazardous compared to “Alternating Current” (AC). However, faulty equipment or operations in electrofishing can result in serious injury to operators or even death.
