This video has been taken at the Egyptian Aquaculture Center (Kafr El Sheikh) during the Warm water fish production training course (2012). The video shows the packing of the hatchery produced fingerlings of African catfish, Clarias Gariepinus. Hatching technology for the mass production of catfish seeds have been developed in the World Fish Center – Egypt and then after disseminated to selected producers who take the responsibility to reach fish farms. In the recent years, the marketing of African catfish is developing positively in particular locations. Further development of catfish aquaculture requires variety of marketing campaigns especially to consumers who are still resisting consuming catfish.
